Bozeman Montana Intimate Wedding Portraits - Montana Wedding Photos

Updated: Mar 11

July 27, 2024 Bozeman, Montana - Renee and Sevrin’s wedding portraits in Bozeman, Montana were filled with warm summer light, open farmland, and quiet moments shared with close family. Bozeman offers a beautiful setting for couples who want a relaxed and scenic backdrop for their wedding photos. Their session perfectly captured the peaceful charm of Montana in the summer.

Renee is a close family member who reached out to me about photographing her and her new husband, Sevrin, in Bozeman, Montana, in the middle of summer. I felt incredibly honored to be trusted with capturing their love and documenting such a meaningful moment in their lives. With just the two of them and Renee's parents and sisters present, the entire experience felt relaxed, personal, and full of immense joy!

We spent the afternoon running around quiet, sunlit farmland just outside of Bozeman. The warm summer light stretched across the fields, creating the most beautiful backdrop for their photos. Even though this summer saw a ton of forest fires, we made the smoke a part of the beauty that day. What made the day even more special was how natural everything felt — nothing forced, just laughter, movement, and the kind of moments that you just let go.

This session wouldn’t have been possible without the love of my life, Chelsey. She jumped in as the perfect assistant for the day — helping with Renee’s gown, fixing small details, and even helping set up a few motion shots that helped tell Renee and Sevrin’s story in an authentic way. From their matching tattoos to the way they talked about the day they first met, every little detail made photographing them such a meaningful experience. By the end of the shoot, I had gone through an entire 128 gigabytes SD card.

Even though I traveled to Bozeman to photograph their wedding portraits, I left completely charmed by the town itself. We spent the entire weekend exploring local spots, starting our mornings at Feed Cafe — easily one of the best breakfast places in town. From their incredible sandwiches to the daily specials, it almost made me question leaving Colorado behind for it. In the evenings, we shared cocktails at est.1864 Noir Bar, enjoying the relaxed atmosphere and celebrating the day’s adventure together.

After the Montana Wedding Photos shoot wrapped up, we all headed to Sidewinders to celebrate — the perfect way to end such a memorable day.

Spending this time with Renee and Sevrin was more than just a photography session for me. It was a chance to slow down, celebrate family, and witness the beginning of a beautiful new chapter in their lives. Moments like these remind me why I love what I do. Being invited into such meaningful experiences and preserving them for years to come.
